Cameron Hughe's wines are among some of the fastest growing brands in the United States - and he doesn’t own a winery or a vine! Instead, assuming the centuries old European role of negotiant, Cameron uses a vast network of vineyard contacts from Napa Valley to Sonoma and beyond to opportunistically buy parcels of grapes and produce small lots of wine. Vineyard names like Stag’s Leap, Rutherford, and Russian River Valley routinely grace Cameron’s bottles, offering consumers an outstanding taste of California at savings of 50-60% off their normal price if they were sold by the vineyard holder. Featured in The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, CNN and Wine Spectator, Cameron has been dubbed “The Robin Hood of the Wine Industry”.

The small lot wines on the menu for the July 18 Wine & Dinner Tasting include:

  • Lot 285 - 2009 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Lot 257 - 2009 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Lot 224 - 2010 Lake County Syrah
  • Lot 320 - 2010 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay
  • Lot 350 - 2010 Santa Maria Chardonnay
  • Lot 359 - 2011 Columbia Valley Riesling Chenin Blanc

Only two of these wines are available at the LCBO, but all will be available for purchase after dinner (by the case). Orders may be placed for full cases from Azureau and can be delivered to your home, office or cottage. Note that the bottles will not be here but will be delivered.
